Gerakan 200 members defect to DAP...it just zero sum game

According to The Star newspaper date 27.02.08 (here)about 200 Gerakan member in Sungai siput have defect to DAP camp in protes of no care & no support from Gerakan party. The Star also said it is severe blow to State Seat N22-Jalong. Yet Sungai Siput Boy don't agree at all.

First; Personality, Integrity & new face (Fresh candidate) is the main popular topic in this election. Much of the tradition way (vote party not candidate) is being replaced by new minded "vote the candidate not the party" attitude. The defected Siput man; Kampung Veerasamy branch chief Hu Hoong Choy are express his unhappiness to Gerakan Party and not the candidate, Cheah Chee Kuan.Certainly the defected people got tons of unhappiness especially not being choose as candidate....i guess.

Secondly;Sungai Siput seat is a mixer vote seats. Non-Chinese voter are amount to 40-50% vote. I strongly believe given Cheah Chee Kuan background, "lorry" of malay & Indian Siput friends is firmly supporting him. Do you expect the non-chinese to vote the "outsider" instead of Local homegrown siput who study and grow up with their childrens? The siput(Cheah Chee Kuan) is not only grow up in Sungai SIput but also staging his business, family & all resources in sungai siput and for sungai siput. What the record the "outsider" have proven in Sungai siput? Did she know where is kampung orang asli in Jalong? Where is Felda Lasah, great waterfall to jump in and caves to explore??? Did she know??? I will cancel all the above question if DAP put a local siput to contest with cheah chee kuan.

Lastly;If we read the same newspaper The Star again dated 23.02.08, there are also same number of DAP man quit DAP & dissolved the branch much earlier.
