Strange But True...Standing Egg

When I was young, my mom always tell me that chicken egg can be put in standing position. I never question it that time but after trying too many time... i forget the story already. But this CNY, I saw the old story alive again. In tradition, old folks said in every First chinese calender month, you actually can try put an egg in standing position and it will stand....sometime after 15 days! Hard to explain how, just have a look as below;
