(4th April 1974 - 24 February 2008)I feel very down. Really really sad and pain in my heart..memory keep flash back... Sometime this is an example how Internet information can be rightly use. I was doing web surfing as usual and accidentally hit a name who i never cross in mind to search it in web. The search bar history just accidentally roll down the alphabet that i was going to key. Then this name listed as one of the history caches. I select it and then google search pop out the results. Oh My God....She have passed away...
My respected senior in University Kebangsaan Malaysia(UKM) & same "Kamsis Z"-University hostel have passed away in 24 Feb 2008. Her name is CHEW BEE SAN.
Oh dear..it can't be...why...how come like that..
I know her in 1996/7 when i was 2nd year in University Kebangsaan Malaysia(UKM). As i was joining ROTU/PALAPES-Reserve Army, it is compulsory in 2nd year we move in new hostel where all the PALAPES stay together. The hostel name was Kamsis Tun Hussein Onn or KAMSIS Z or Com Z. KAMSIS stand for Kampung Siswa Siswi. It is a "barbarian" hostel, nightmare not only for "normal" students but also nightmare for the University Maintenance department. Simply because 90% (Except first year student) are Army...and we act like army..WILDERNESS!!
For those in 2nd year & above who are not Army but manage to stay at hostel are not ordinary student. Either they are outstanding for sports, academy or outstanding Public relation skill to convince the Principal to give the green light. I don't know which category CHEW BEE SAN is fall to.

I know her through my friend;PHANG WAI LI, another very outstanding lady in academy and she also manage stay at KAMSIS Z. I and Phang are same courses good friends. Because of that she introduce senior CHEW BEE SAN to me in a very formal way...those time "orientation" is a norm. After that i get know CHEW BEE SAN not only my hostel senior but also course senior. We both in Mass Communication department. CHEW BEE SAN is a very friendly and quiet type girl.
After only one semester (bout 4 month)i seldom get in touch with her. It is only 10 years after i graduated from UKM i "show" her again. In 2006, I was surfing Ytl Community website and I was shock to see her photo. She was ytl community chief editor!

Man..she was a very corporate woman indeed! So i just want to make sure it is the same CHEW BEE SAN i know in UKM by leave a message in her website. Day after she replied:

Of course I remember you! How have you been doing? What have you been up to all these years? I'm surprised that you found me. I've not been feeling well in the past few weeks - I've got pneumonia and the doctor has instructed me to stay at home because I'm coughing really badly. But it's really great to hear from friends - especially you! Keep in touch, okay?

I'm really a idiot.. as my english is not good, i don't take note and find out the meaning of the word pneumonia. I just understand the word coughing. What a idiot i am!! If i pay attention, i should know it is something that might turn to cancer and leading to dead.
According to her friends blogs, She have battled the sickness bout 1 years before finally pass away in 24 February 2008. She also have a condolences message from International Teakwon-Do Federation Although I don't know what role she hold in INternational Teakwon-Do Federation, but she certainly playing a active role as the message was from President of a International Association.
My Dear Senior CHEW BEE SAN, May God Bless you and rest in peace.
