Dr Tan Kee Kwong is just not Tan Sri Dr Tan Chee Khoon

Parti Gerakan still not recover from the political tsunami and still struggling swimming back to the shore. After Datuk Lee Kah Choon accepted a post with Penang state government, Dr Tan kee kwong has become the 2nd heavyweight politician from Gerakan taking the same path. The latest had accepted a post with Selangor Pakatan Rakyat government and was named as co-chairman of Selangor's special task force on land issues. Here

I will not comment the later as my stand is same as what i have said about Datuk Lee Kah Choon.. You cannot say you want serve people better so that you take the job. Because that excuse is only for ordinary citizen and not for high profile politician who enjoy trust and voted by supporter.

What i want to write is about Dr Tan Kee Kwong late father, Tan Sri Tan Chee Khoon who famously being called as "Mr Opposition" for the outspoken views he presented in Parliament. He was the official Leader of the Opposition in Parliament from 1964 to 1978, when he retired

Dr Tan Kee Kwong is just not Tan Sri Dr Tan Chee Khoon

There was two interesting politician i accidentally discover at studies time in University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). One is Tun Daim and another one is Tan Sri Tan Chee Khoon.

I never heard about Tan Sri Tan Chee Khoon name before. I was in the library when i discover the book. After finished reading the book, i search for more info about this person. There are total 3 book i read about him,

After reading the book, i was so respect Tan Sri Tan Chee Khoon and almost want him become my idol after Tun Dr Mahathir & Stephen Hawking. He was first opposition leader conferred "Tan Sri" title. Actually he been offered number of time while still in the opposition shoe but he gently refused. Only after he retired from politic, he agreed to take the honour.

What even made him respected is although Tan Sri is in opposition side, his view and outspoken minded very much listened by the Member of Parliament. His was nicknamed as "Mr Opposition"... something we can imagine that being opposition is not really bad and must always oppose ruling party.

For me in politic, when you have the game in hand, you must show your ability and performance using your own resources and own way. That's will show people you are as capable as previous government.

If we play the new game using old guard and recruit players from other camps, its never able to showing your own true colors.
