Sungai Siput Giant Killer Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) first dissapointment

No PSM councillors in Kuala Kangsar District Council (MDKK) Click here, here & here

The Perak Government under Pakatan Rakyat or DAP ( For me Perak is not Pakatan rakyat state, it is DAP state) have not pick any candidate from PSM for MDKK councillors in the recent sworn in ceremony.

PSM through Dr D. Jeyakumar have proposed 4 candidate; Sukumaran, M. Agastim, Chong Kim Foo and Adam Ngah Naim after being ask to recommend by Perak Local Government, Housing and Public Transport Committee chairman Nga Kor Ming...yet none selected.

1. Being a first historical "political party" to wrest MIC strong hold and successfully kick out its president Samy Vellu, PSM deserved some appreciation.

2. PSM under Dr.D Jeyakumar consistently serving Sungai Siput residents in the past, far before Malaysia "political Tsunami" strike. Meaning PSM won the sungai siput Parliament seat through hard work and never give up attitude, not fully depend the latest national voting pattern. Therefore PSM deserve a place in local government to directly served sungai siput people.

3.Sungai Siput is a "famous" place and have "famous people" in the history of Malaysia. Is the DAP govenment want to minimize or reduce Sungai Siput popularity? Or will Sungai siput losing its famous in malaysia politic after samy vellu gone?....If not mistaken PSM registration as a political party in Malaysia have been rejected .....

"...PSM’s Legal Status
The Malaysian State has refused to recognise PSM. The ruling party has rejected the party’s application to register as a political party citing that PSM is a threat to National Security. While PSM’s activities have been transparent and open confrontation, the ruling party seems uneasy to see a socialist party in its backyard.

The right to form a political party is a constitutional right and PSM became the first party in Malaysia’s history to take the ruling party and the Home Minister to court for abusing their power. In early 2003, The KL High Court rejected PSM’s application and said that the court cannot question the Minister’s view with regards to National Security. The party has now appealed to the Appeals Court.

The state’s harsh treatment to PSM is a problem but the Party continues to function and carry out its program...."

4. Sungai Siput is now in a confuse state. In national/Parliament level, PSM is not even a recognized political party yet officially its represent PKR/DAP. In State level, Perak MB is PAS, actual Power in DAP, and PSM is represent PKR....... so how to see Sungai Siput in future???

The good news is Sudi Uda become first orang asli among Perak’s 338 local councillors. Sudi Uda from Kampung Landap village in Jalong Tinggi, Sungai Siput.
