I sing Negaraku again with Malaysian

Yesterday night i have told my son, if we wake up early, I will bring him to Dataran Merdeka to join Merdeka celebration. My Son was excited coz for the past few day he been shouting merdeka, merdeka, merdeka.

As predicted, We wake up late...9.15AM! Thanks to my little girl crying for milk. So I was wondering should i go Dataran Merdeka? Don't know why this year my patriotism feeling is very much burning...maybe the country i love is in chaos? So i decided we will go ahead with plan.

My son very exciting. We take STAR-LRT at Sri Petaling Station. It was pack!! Luckily I with my son, if not sure have to stand till Masjid Jamek Station. Most of the passenger is family crowd.

At 1030AM, we reach Masjis Jamek station. Right after we come out from masjid jamek station, we can hear the loud speaker from Dataran Merdeka. Main Road From Masjid Jamek station to dataran is blocked and most of VVIP car is park along the road.

I take my son hand and we walk toward dataran merdeka. Its was the last program for the days...Tarian Payung I guess. It was hot and crowded. I put my son on my shoulder and we walk nearer to VIP stand.

My son was astonish with what he saw. He was Blur... ha ha ... Never in his life he saw so colourful, so many performer and so many people. I just keep watching his reaction and I know he is figuring what is happening.

Then after bout 10 minute he started his first words. "Papa...So many umbrella". Hah ha... Then he started sweating. I ask him whether he want to come down from my shoulder and he reply...don't want coz couldn't see... Pandai anak aku..

The most memorable of the day is when the organiser playing lagu "Negaraku" as the final program is completed. First i was mumbling with mosquito sound singing the song. Then later i heard behind me there are actually people singing the song, then i heard beside me, right and left and in front of me also. That's is the time i suddenly raise my voice without shame and sing it loud!

The people behind me is a Malay photographer, beside me is a Malay family with son with his shoulder like me, another side is a Chinese with her girlfriends and in front of me is a bunch of children, Malays and Indian..... It was just like back to primary and secondary time.....Only this time plus a lot of Indonesian, bangladesh, Nepalese and Indian from India.

Proudly to say I got a most memorable Merdeka Celebration in this year! Both My Son and Me!

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!
