Delayed Posting

There are few issue i would like to comments last week but due to heavy workload, i just couldn't do it.... maybe i should consider buying a laptop.

2. GERAKAN no more relevant?

I have come across some article questioning the relevant of PARTI GERAKAN after the "political Tsunami". Most article is saying GERAKAN is no more relevant.

My opinion:

In politic the survival of a Party is not base on number of seat in parliament, how many cabinet post or how many branches. It is the ideology or what the party fighthing for is the most matter. Gerakan is going for Bangsa Malaysia. So they can still be relevant for many many years....

I still remember in 2004 general election when BN under Pak Lah got a more than 90%majority in parliament. Keadilan is only got 1 seat. People are bringing up the same question; is opposition especially Keadilan & DAP still relevant in Malaysia Politic?

We already have the answer in March 2008 General election. They are not only come back with more seat in parliament, they indeed mostly form a new government!

3. MCA Youth open for female members under 35 years old.

Current this is a very hot topic in MCA. In recent general assembly, MCA youth have proposed that female under 35 years old can opt to join MCA youth instead of Wanita MCA. The Wanita MCA protest like hell and give numbers of reason why they object it.

The incident was made worst when some 50 pcs of bunting written " I DO...Making a more democratic@better tomorrow with MCA youth" was hang in Wisma MCA. Some Wanita MCA calling the design is more suitable put at lounge or pub!!!

My Opinion:

My perception of WAnita MCA is mostly women activities and not ladies activities. Chew Mei Fan is consider young but she is already 40+ years old. So it is not surprise if we heard Wanita MCA is only for those in "Women" category.

Unless Wanita MCA can recruit more youngster in their member list and put more youngster in their leadership posts, or i'm afraid they will forever in "Women" category.

MCA Youth is certainly much alive body. They have most youth network in IPTA/IPTS, & Colleges. Even they have youth club and list of youngster leadership program. I have join some of MCA youth program and i found most of the participant or committee members are mix gender. This i believe seldom happened in Wanita MCA activities.

By the way if MCA youth really open the door for female under 35 year old, this will only created healthier competition among MCA Youth & Wanita MCA. So it is a good suggestion.
