Cheah Chee Kuan born in August 1975. His father was Guthrie Corporation Bhd Admin Clerk before retired after almost 20 years services and living at company house near Changkat Salak, Kuala Kangsar. In primary education, Cheah Chee Kuan was study in Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Methodist, Sungai Siput. He used to travel by bus daily from sungai siput to Grik which distance about 20 KM. However his mother relative was in Kampung Jalong.
Cheah Chee Kuan was move to stay in Sungai Siput in Secondary school since after his father retired which mean no longer subject to Guthrie company housing subsidy scheme. He was living in Taman Tun sambathan thereafter.
In Sungai Siput, mostly for chinese, either you are chinese educated which primary school in SRJK(C) and secondary in SEkolah menengah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Shing Chung or you are national type school which primary & secondary in Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Methodist & Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Methodist. Cheah was national type education background.
After complete secondary education, he futher studies in Form 6 at Sekolah Menengah Tok Muda Adbul Aziz. There was only 2 chinese boy in 2000 plus student that time. However giving his eduation background he used to mix around with malay & indian very well. He even represent form 6 football team in SUTINA (Sukan Tingkatan Enam) daerah Kuala Kangsar.
He completed his lower six and upper six at STMAA and become the highest academic achiever in STMAA form 6 exam history. He score 4A1 & 1A2 which total of 78 point out of 80 point. He manage to choose Law as degree in University or Malaysia (UM).
Right after completed his degree in laws, Cheah come back to open own legal firm in Ipoh and later in Sungai Siput.
